what's my biggest pet peeve well it's when someone makes a text post on tumblr dot com in which they are trying to romanticize the notion of the livestock guardian dog but they don't know the distinction between a livestock guardian dog and a herding dog and also they've never met a livestock guardian dog and do not realize what their attitudes towards the sheep that they protect actually are

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

And I sat there as the announcement rang heavy in my ears,

echoing around the airport:

17 hours earlier:

The last day of August wasn’t demanding,

Lost at sea on an ivory Catamaran,

Laying under the rays of a mature summer sun,

With salt still on your skin from waters that should’ve carried us deep into the sunset.

The chance that we would cross paths in such a setting is uncanny,

Others may attribute it to fate,

But we’ll agree for the time being that the locus of control was indeed external,

Or have we been fooled by randomness? I am not ready to discover that truth just yet.

We arrived without intentions, yes?

Then let us not bother this late summer day in its obscurity,

The mystery seems to be inviting nonetheless,

You, with hair that is the darkest shade of chocolate and the smoothest shade of silk, and valiant eyes that gently pierce through those tan shades you hide behind,

But I see you - as clear as the crystal waters beneath us,
